Taste of Temecula - Alpaca

Taste of Temecula

Thursday, April 17, 2014

Sit back and relax as we journey to the beautiful rural area of Temecula. Our first stop is a visit to The Alpaca Hacienda where we will get up close and personal with beautiful Alpacas. Learn about their quirky traits and other interesting facts, and, if you like, you can hand feed them. Beautiful hand made items made by local fiber crafters are on display in the Boutique at the Hacienda. Before we leave we will be treated to a craft-making session using some of the luxurious Alpaca fibers. After our tour we will head over to the Gambling Cowboy Chophouse and Saloon for lunch (menu choices below). Following lunch we will visit the Temecula History Museum. Or, if you prefer, there are shops to browse and small wineries where you can wine-taste along the western-themed Old Town Temecula board walk. Join us for a relaxing day in the “Old West.”

Reagan Ranch Center

Reagan Ranch Center

Wednesday, May 14, 2014

Join us for a trip to the Reagan Ranch Center in downtown Santa Barbara. Dynamic multimedia exhibits provide access to exclusive speeches, interviews and original video presentations. The centerpiece of the gallery is a 28 foot-long interactive timeline that gives users the ability to explore the “Western White House” during the 1980s. Several unique collections are on display, including letters, campaign buttons, posters,
etc. President Reagan’s saddle, chainsaw and famous ranch jeep (complete with the “Gipper” license plate) are also on display. Following our tour of the Center, we will lunch at the popular Santa Barbara Fish House (see menu below). After lunch a local step-on guide will join us for a tour of some of Santa Barbara’s sights “off the beaten path.”
